Terms of Use

Last updated 15 August 2026

Two things matter most here: you need the rights to the video you upload — including the consent of anyone whose voice is cloned — and automated dubbing is never perfect, so check the result before you publish it.

The agreement

These terms are between you and [legal entity name] ("DUBD", "we"). By uploading a video or creating an account you accept them. If you are using DUBD for an organisation, you confirm you may accept on its behalf.

How we handle your data is set out in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

What DUBD does

DUBD dubs a video into another language by running it through five stages: separating voice from background, transcribing the speech, translating it, generating a new voice, and mixing that back with the original background.

Each stage has a free option and, in some cases, paid options that use stronger models. You choose per stage, before that stage begins. Once a stage has started, its option is fixed for that run.

You do not need an account to dub a video. Anonymous tasks are reachable only through the unguessable address in your browser. Anyone who has that address can open the task, so do not share it if the content is confidential, and keep your own copy — we cannot recover a lost address.

Accounts

An account keeps your task history and holds your credit balance. You must give an accurate email address and confirm it, keep your password secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.

One person or organisation per account. Do not share credentials.

Credits and billing

Paid options are charged against a prepaid credit balance. Credits are bought through Stripe and billed per second of audio processed, at the rate shown next to each option before you select it. The figure on the task page is an estimate based on your current selections; the amount charged reflects the audio actually processed.

The free options cost nothing and require no balance. If your balance is insufficient for a paid option, that stage will not run with it.

Credits do not expire [confirm, or state the expiry period]. Refunds are handled as follows: [state your refund policy — required by consumer law in Brazil and the EU, including the right of withdrawal for distance contracts].

Prices may change. A change never affects credits you have already bought.

Your content

You keep all rights to the videos you upload and the dubbed results. We claim no ownership. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service: to store, process, and transmit your content to the processing providers listed in the Privacy Policy, for as long as we hold it for you.

You must have the rights

By uploading, you confirm that you own the video or are permitted to use it this way, including any music, footage or performance in it.

Voice cloning requires consent

Some options reproduce a speaker's voice in another language. You may only use these where the person whose voice is being cloned has consented to that use. Do not use DUBD to imitate anyone's voice in order to deceive, to impersonate a real person, or to create material they would not have agreed to. Voice may be biometric data where you live, and consent may need to be explicit and documented.

Output

Subject to these terms and to your having the underlying rights, the dubbed video, transcript and translation are yours to use as you wish, including commercially.

Acceptable use

Do not use DUBD to process or produce:

  • content you have no right to use;
  • impersonation of a real person, or material designed to deceive about who is speaking;
  • child sexual abuse material, or any sexual content involving minors;
  • content that incites violence or hatred, or that harasses someone;
  • anything illegal where you are, or where we operate.

Also do not attempt to break, overload or circumvent the service — including automated scraping, probing other people's tasks, or working around billing.

We may remove content and suspend access where we reasonably believe this section has been broken.

Output quality

Dubbing is automated. Transcription can mishear, translation can miss nuance, and synthesized speech can misplace emphasis — particularly with overlapping speakers, background noise, accents, or specialist vocabulary.

Review the result before you publish or rely on it. We do not warrant that output is accurate, complete or fit for any particular purpose, and we are not responsible for the consequences of publishing it unreviewed.

Availability

We aim to keep DUBD running but do not promise uninterrupted service. Parts of it depend on third-party providers, and processing times vary with load and video length. We may change, suspend or discontinue features; where a change is material and you hold unused credits, we will tell registered users in advance.

The service is provided "as is", without warranties beyond those your local consumer law gives you and which cannot be excluded.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, or the results of publishing dubbed output without review. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the [3 / 6 / 12] months before it arose.

Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited — including rights you have as a consumer under the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code or equivalent law where you live.

Termination

You may stop using DUBD at any time and ask us to delete your account and content. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where required by law. Unused credits on an account closed for a breach are [refunded / forfeited — state which].

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [jurisdiction, e.g. Brazil], and disputes go to the courts of [venue]. If you are a consumer, this does not remove your right to bring a claim where you live.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top reflects the current version, and material changes are announced to registered users by email before they take effect. Continuing to use DUBD after that means you accept the new version.
